Maxicin^®

Maxicin is an antimicrobial drug, IV generation fluoroquinolone.

The active substance is moxifloxacin, has a wide spectrum of action (Gram +, Gram -, anaerobes, protozoa).

Mechanism of action

Inhibits bacterial type II topoisomerases (DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV) required for replication, transcription and repair of bacterial DNA.

Indications:

• community-acquired pneumonia;
• complicated infectious diseases of the skin and soft tissues.

Dosage form:

Concentrate for preparation of solution for intravenous infusion. 400 mg / 20 ml vial.

Dark glass vials – protect the drug from exposure to ultraviolet rays.

The only one form of release on the Ukrainian market “concentrate”, which makes it possible to choose a solvent according to the needs of the patient.

Method of application: intravenous.

Age restrictions: the efficacy and safety of the drug Maxicin® have not been established for children.
